Celebrating Independence Day is a Torah requirement

In recent years, some people have begun to have doubts about the celebration of Yom Haatzmaut, asking such questions as “What is the point of this joy?!” This question is asked in pain, in view of the difficult reality, where we often act in a way that erodes and damages our independence. Should we really continue to celebrate Yom Haatzmaut?
