Naomi Nachman, Loud and Proud

Naomi Nachman is known for her delicious cooking and fun approach to the kitchen. The bubbly cook, who is originally from Australia, organizes the Kosher Chopped experience, where she gives teams mystery items that they have to cook during the fun competition. She also frequently updates her Instagram with lighthearted, entertaining videos of her and her family traveling around the world.
But when it comes to her Jewish identity, Naomi gets serious.
“I grew up in an Orthodox home, and it’s all I’ve ever known,” she told Aish. “I’m living loud and proud. I love being a proud Jew.”
Living Her Best Life on Social Media – and Beyond
Naomi posts all the places she visits like Budapest, Las Vegas, Israel, Madrid, Greece, Iceland, and Morocco, shows photos of herself and friends and fellow cooks like Melinda Strauss and Jamie Geller, and shares mouthwatering recipes including Friday night short ribs and Moroccan salmon.
Though Naomi rarely gets political on her account, she has experienced antisemitism firsthand on there.
“On social media, it’s very crazy how much antisemitism there is out there,” she said. “I never had much hate on my social media until I posted after October 7 and had death threats and negative and nasty comments. People are so ill informed. I see so much misinformation out there.”
On a personal level, the influencer’s life has not changed since October 7 – but online, it certainly has.
“I have always been Israel centric,” she said. “I grew up in Sydney, Australia, where Israel was always a big part of our daily lives. But my social media has definitely changed.”
This change has motivated Naomi to run as a World Zionist Congress delegate on the Aish Ha’am slate – an organization that is near and dear to her heart.
“I am proud to be associated with Aish,” she said. “They stand for the same things I stand for.”

Aish educates Jews, fights antisemitism, and shows the world who the Jewish people are. According to Naomi, Jews are a people who “are valiant. We are strong, and we will overcome everything and anything they throw at us, like we have over the last 2000+ years.”
Naomi’s Advice for Young Jews
When Naomi was younger, she stood loud and proud with her peers to fight for the freedom of Soviet Jewry. Now, she is doing the same thing in a post-Oct 7. “I’m striving to be a light unto the nations by talking about Israel and the Jewish people.”
She recommends that young Jews today do the same.
“Stay loud and proud,” she said. “Keep at it. Sometimes, it’s really hard, but stay strong. Stay true to yourself. Don’t hide your Judaism. We’re so proud of the next generation and what you can accomplish by using your voice on social media as well.”
